Today is the first day of Spring—a day of renewal and incredibly uplifting after a year of quarantining. I have been remiss in announcing the publication of my short story over the winter. But to be honest, this winter didn’t feel very celebratory, so instead, I kept my head down, assiduously editing my manuscript (yet again) to prepare it for the querying process. So, yes, I am a glutton for punishment. Such is the life of an author.
With the weather growing warmer and the days longer, pick up a copy of Masthead: Best New England Crime Stories, edited by Verena Rose, Harriette Sackler, and Shawn Reilly Simmons. I am so honored that my short story was chosen to be included in this collection with so many talented and respected authors. Please take a moment or two and read “Gray Lady Noir,” my mystery involving a Nantucket hotel receptionist and an aging punk rocker. It’ll make you wish summer were here. And it almost is.
Cheers!
